Member Artists

Gallery 10 is an "Artist's Gallery" managed by a small group of established professional artists. In addition to practicing their individual artistic discipline each is a "Member" of the gallery executive team. It is their responsibility to manage the business aspects of the gallery organization as well as conduct the day-to-day operations of the retail practice. The "Members" are dedicated to maintain the current viability and continued success of Gallery 10. 

Joanne Dedge  Member Artist

Joanne grew up in Southern California where she enjoyed experimenting with all mediums of art. She took numerous art classes and discovered that watercolor was her passion. After retiring, Joanne attended many workshops with Oregon artist, Susan Bourdet. Susan has been a very strong influence in helping Joanne develop the style of her paintings today.

Nature and wildlife are a continued inspiration to Joanne's work and can be seen in many of her beautiful paintings at Gallery 10.

 

  

Steve Holler paints imagery that celebrates the beautiful landscape of Northern California. Local imagery and the artifacts that make up our daily life are the subjects of his visual interest. Following a successful career in graphic design and design education Steve now is a full-time artist painting primarily in acrylics and creating drawings in graphite.

Steve Holler holds a BFA degree from the Kansas City Art Institute, an MFA degree from the California College of The Arts, and graduate study at Yale University, Yale School of Art.

Marie Martz-Mort  Member Artist

Marie Martz-Mort started in the jewelry business in 1981, after graduating from CSUS. A Jewelry class in cloisonné enamels hooked her on jewelry making. Marie started her career with an independent jeweler in Sacramento and in 1995 she began working with a jeweler in Sutter Creek. In this more challenging environment she was able to refine her skills in fabrication, setting and design. Marie has been an active member of Gallery 10 since 2000. She is available for special orders, and can work with materials you have or supply them to you. Marie also does repairs and restringing.

Marleen Olive  Member Artist

Marleen Olive considers herself an experimental artist. Painting realistic watercolors and mixed media abstract she is always trying new methods and taking risks. Texture and a nature motif are important elements in her work. Marleen has been involved in art throughout her life and has had work accepted in many juried art shows and won several awards. 

 

Marleen Olive currently gives watercolor classes at Miy Studio, 11990 State, HWY 88, Jackson, CA.

Julie Trail   Member Artist

Julie Trail lives in Sutter Creek, CA, and paints the landscapes surrounding her in the foothills and mountains of Northern California. She often travels with her paints and loves nothing more than spending an afternoon capturing the beauty of light and color on the landscape. In addition to Gallery 10 Julie's paintings hang at Story Winery in the Shenandoah Valley near Plymouth, and the Volcano Union Inn in Volcano.

Originally from San Diego, CA Catherine moved to Sutter Creek and began to pursue a life-long interest in art on a full-time bases. Her major media focus is in watercolor and many of her appealing images can be seen in Gallery 10. Through the influence of area artists, Catherine has begun to explore alternative media primarily in the application of collage.

Catherine has been a member artist in Gallery 10 for seven years and is an active member of the Amador County Artists Association.
